This piece is a big departure from the first one. While the first was very graphic and symmetrical, this piece seemed to grow from the single large paper petal in the middle of the flower. Lighting has once again made the lime green background far too saturated.
The official blog for the Ink and Paper House of tennyoceres. Mizu Mikado is a (very silly) Japanese wordplay on part of my Etsy shop name. Ink, or sumi (すみ) becomes mizu (みず). Paper, or kami (かみ) becomes the basis of mikado (みかど). The literal translation is even sillier. It goes from ink and paper (炭と紙) to water emperor (水帝).
