Hey; Oi; Yo; Yeah; 'ay!
The official blog for the Ink and Paper House of tennyoceres. Mizu Mikado is a (very silly) Japanese wordplay on part of my Etsy shop name. Ink, or sumi (すみ) becomes mizu (みず). Paper, or kami (かみ) becomes the basis of mikado (みかど). The literal translation is even sillier. It goes from ink and paper (炭と紙) to water emperor (水帝).

Weekly Calligraphy: Osu!
I admit this came from Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (Hey! Fight! Cheer Squad), one of my favorite video games ever. It's a rhythm game, but it's a very masculine rhythm game. The character I wrote for the week is a Japanese pun for 'Hey!' or 'Oi!' or some other one syllable call you use to get attention. The two characters on their own mean 'push'(押) and 'stealth' (忍).
押忍 (おす pronounced oh-s)
