The official blog for the Ink and Paper House of tennyoceres. Mizu Mikado is a (very silly) Japanese wordplay on part of my Etsy shop name. Ink, or sumi (すみ) becomes mizu (みず). Paper, or kami (かみ) becomes the basis of mikado (みかど). The literal translation is even sillier. It goes from ink and paper (炭と紙) to water emperor (水帝).

New Item: A Gingko Leaf
I can't believe I've spent all of my literate life spelling this plant's name wrong.
Anyway, I just listed a new painting, Gingko Leaf. A Chinese symbol of wealth because of the leaf's color and resemblance to ancient Chinese currency. The yellow of the art board I used and the flecks of silver on it really called to me.
